2020 TSHOA General Meeting and Ballot

The 2020 TSHOA General meeting will be held on October 27, 2020, at 7:00 PM via Zoom. Currently in Williamson County, indoor gatherings of our size are prohibited unless for religious services. Given the planning and notice requirements, hoping for good weather and attempting an outdoor meeting was not a viable option this year.

All voting will be by absentee ballot. Ballots may be mailed to us at our P.O. Box or delivered to a dropbox in the neighborhood. Instructions for both are on the ballot.

Every homeowner has been either mailed or e-mailed a packet containing the following. Emails were sent on Friday, 10/09. The mailed packets were delivered to the post office on the same day and should be arriving in the coming days.

Important Notice: Wyoming Springs Extension

The City of Round Rock recently provided information to only citizens that will be impacted regarding the Wyoming Springs extension. Thus, we wanted to be sure the entire neighborhood was aware of the impact it could have on all surrounding areas including Tonkawa Springs.

Please review the flyer with all information regarding how to attend the meetings as well as provide comments and feedback prior to September 22. The City of Round Rock needs to hear you regarding this project. You are encouraged to write emails, attend the meetings, and share this information with other surrounding areas that may be impacted.

Some feedback regarding this planned extension may be requiring a lower speed limit, limited access points, protecting the water quality as well as the long term impact of a road on top of a sensitive water feature on the Edwards Aquifer.

Gate Lock: Install and Code

Gate Lock: Install and Code

Hi TSHOA Neighbors – We are in the process of replacing the entire gate lock system on the tennis court gate.   TSHOA board hopes to have this work completed by July 20th .  Once the new gate lock is in place, a code will be needed to enter the court.  Please contact the TSHOA Treasurer at treasurer@tonkawasprings.org to request the code.

Please do not provide code to non-residents as per the court rules.  We have seen an increased usage of our courts and want to ensure it is our residents gaining access.

Celebrate our Class of 2020 Seniors!

Tonkawa Springs has eight amazing Seniors this year! We would like to recognize and celebrate these students.

In keeping with the social distancing protocol, our Seniors will be ‘driving’ through the neighborhood Parade style in their decorated vehicles on May 15. We would ask everyone in the neighborhood to please come out in your drive, cul-de-sac, etc. to join in the celebration. Bring your Pom-Poms or your air horn and lets cheer on our 2020 Seniors! Mark your calendars for Friday, May 15, at 6:00 p.m. Let’s celebrate our Senior Class of 2020!

The Boo-Fest was a smash!

Halloween Recap

The Boo-Fest was a smash! On Halloween, many kids and parents met at the Tonkawa Springs Commons to begin their festivities. The TSHOA Social Committee provided hot dogs, chips and lemonade before setting out for trick or treating. The costume contest revealed clever get-ups and prizes were awarded for the scariest, funniest and most creative.

Neighborhood BBQ scheduled for October 5th

Fall is finally here; it is cooling off a bit and football season is upon us! That means our annual Fall Barbeque is coming up! For more than 25 years, Tonkawa Springs neighbors have been getting together to enjoy a barbeque dinner and fellowship. This year our barbeque will be on Saturday October 5th at 4:00pm in the Commons area. Tonkawa Springs Homeowners Association and the Social Committee will be sponsoring the barbeque and we hope you will bring your favorite dessert.

We will have our annual dessert contest, so polish off your favorite recipe and bring your creation. Judging and prizes will take place after dinner. Remember to bring a serving utensil for your dessert and write your name on your dish and utensil so we can return them to you.

We are starting a new tradition this year. We would like to have a food drive to help our local food pantry stock up before the holidays. Would you consider bringing a jar of peanut butter? We will provide the receptacle to collect your donation during the barbeque.
