Dangerous Tree Removal
Hi Neighbors,
We posted a list of tree and branch removal companies this weekend, and they are repeated below. There may also be certain trees with branches that have been too difficult to reach or safely cut. We have asked Climbers Unlimited, a fully insured company out of East Texas who specializes in “dangerous tree removal” services to come assist those homeowners with high or massive limbs with safe, sustainable removal. They also do standard limb removal and haul-off as well. If neighbors will work together there may be some economies of scale and cost savings to be had. Their contact info is:
Climbers Unlimited (Specializing in Dangerous Tree Removal)
– Scott Muirhead 936-689-5985
– Jeremy Kinkle 832-401-2724 Jeremykinkle78@gmail.com
Other local tree companies:
– PRV Tree (HOA has used them) 512-961-8881
– Elias Bautista (Many TS neighbors have used them) 512-788-7986
– Nathan Casey (Local guy, many neighbors have used them) 512-966-1625
– Jesus Tree Services (lives in Round Rock) 512-945-7349/512-945-2439
– Tonkawa’s own Jon Koonce and sons can cut and haul it away debris. 512-775-8266
The TSHOA neither endorses or recommends these companies, but provides information about their services and contact information as a community service.
Tonkawa Springs Homeowners Association
Storm Resources Available to TSHOA
Dear Tonkawa Springs Residents,
Williamson County has been declared a Disaster Area due to the winter storms this week, and Tonkawa Springs is no exception. We know that almost all Tonkawa residents have been affected, and many are just now starting to clear out the debris.
Here are some tree and brush removal resources:
– PRV Tree (HOA has used them) 512-961-8881
– Elias Bautista (Many TS neighbors have used them for years) 512-788-7986
– Nathan Casey (Local guy who was distributing cards yesterday to homeowners) 512-966-1625
– Jesus Tree Services 512-945-7349/512-945-2439
– Tonkawa’s own Jon Koonce and sons can cut and haul it away debris. Fees range from $50 and up depending on how many limbs. Text Jon 512-775-8266.
The County does have a Winter Storm Resources page (https://www.wilco.org/wilco-winter-storm-resources), but unfortunately, damage to personal property is up to individual homeowners. If we become aware of a brush and limb haul-off by the County or other entity we will try to get the word out.

The City of Round Rock will host Christmas tree recycling events on Saturday, Dec. 31 from 9 a.m. to 6p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Round Rock Brush Recycling Center located at 310 Deepwood Drive.
Small tree seedlings (100 per day/one per vehicle) will be distributed and volunteers will be available to help unload trees during these special events.

The mulch can also be purchased by contractors and non-residents for $5 per cubic yard.
Local businesses can also drop off Christmas trees, and for a small fee ($15 per truckload) businesses that sell Christmas trees can recycle their leftovers as well.
